Single cell HSC atlas
| Hepatic stellate cell single cell atlas reveals a highly similar activation process across liver disease aetiologies | ||
In this study we merged 10 datasets, covering 6 different liver injury settings in mice, and generated the very first mouse single cell HSC atlas. We identified three HSC subtypes that are present in all liver injury models in mice and which are conserved in human livers; quiescent HSCs, initiatory HSCs and myofibroblasts. Our analysis shows for the first time that the ligands and transcription factors that drive HSC activation are conserved between different liver injury models. The Shiny App allows interrogation of the mouse or human HSC atlas for gene expression or transcription factor activity, either for all studies combined or split up for the independent studies. | |||
